Italian know-how in the field of design spreads to the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates thanks to IDI International Department
A study conducted by Unioncamere, in collaboration with Assocamerestero and the network of Italian Chambers of Commerce abroad, identified the importance of Made in Italy in the international market. According to these studies, about 193.4 billion in exports, out of a total of 420 billion in the sectors in which Belgium leads, stem from the excellence of Italian products. These latter, praised all over the world for their use of high-quality materials, iconicity, and design, make Made in Italy one of the most sought-after brands worldwide.
Italian Design Institute is among the organizations that contribute significantly to the promotion of Italian excellence around the world. Born from great experience of entrepreneur Nicola Carbonara, IDI operates on an international scale, transmitting and disseminating know-how and competencies in the field of design, of which Italy has been a custodian for centuries. United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom, in particular, are two of the foreign territories where the institution cultivates potential, future professionals in a rapidly growing industry. Interior designers and interior yacht designers are the professional figures that IDI is selecting and training through English-language-based educational programs.
<<A great opportunity for IDI, especially for young designers who may further their education in other countries throughout the world>>, says Tania Sette, educational director of the Italian Design Institute, <<In cities where design is a pillar of the economy, Made in Italy is recognized as a symbol of beauty, engineering, craftsmanship, and style. From our end, we will bring the IDI training method to those locations, which is based on high-quality content, extensive teacher experience, constantly updated programs, and a theoretical but most importantly practical approach capable of consolidating classroom competencies. We want our sudents to be ready to make a significant contribution to the design industry, both locally and globally. Furthermore, we intend to establish a network of collaboration among students, businesses, and industry professionals to promote innovation and idea exchange>>.
The International Department of the Italian Design Institute is, therefore, a reference point in the field of excellence training beyond Italian borders since it responds to the growing need for professionals in interior design and the nautical industry from other markets. IDI also provides emerging and young designers from all over the world with the opportunity to complete an internship in Italy, allowing them to acquire the unrivaled touch of Made in Italy on the field. Stage opportunities at some of the most prestigious Italian companies provide students with direct and practical experience that is critical to their professional growth. The avant-garde, elegance, and originality that have always distinguished Italian design are now available abroad thanks to the role of IDI, an incubator and design studio.
